Friday night at the Poehling Center will be the Main Event for the weekend.  Dress code is casual.  Friday night will start with a social hour from 4-6 for everyone to get reaquainted. The playlist will include all late 70's, and early 80's tunes, sure to bring back those high school memories!

A buffet dinner will be served from 6-8, catered by Wooden Windmill, and will include a BBQ Choice station and a Mexican Choice station.  Dinner, soda, tea, and water and 2 drink tickets are included in the ticket price,  and then cash bar for beer and mixed drinks the rest of the evening.

The class picture will be taken around 6:30 PM, Kelly (Peterson) Thompson has offered to take the class photo and will also be taking pictures throughout the night.  CD's will be sold with the night's pictures to anyone that would like one.

Tom Ashbrook and Jon Appleget have both offered to play with their bands for us on Friday night from 8ish-midnight.  There will be a dance floor for all that care to strut their stuff!  The Poehling Center also has a nice patio overlooking the lake, for those that want a quieter place to chat, catch up, and relax.

Saturday morning at 10 AM will be a nostalgic tour of the high school, for those of you that haven't seen it lately, there have been many additions and changes over the years!  Julie (Johnson) Kindler has offered to give the tour, let's meet in the south parking lot, off of 16th & Lincoln.

The teams will be 4 person, create your own team, or we can put you with 3 other players.  We will be playing a 9-hole scramble, so everyone is encouraged to play!  Greg Robinson will be organizing the tournament for us, should be a fun, relaxing afternoon, please join us!  Please email Greg with your team members at tru2ugregwa@hotmail.com, there will be room for 72 people, so please let Greg know as soon as possible that you want to play.  You can still sign up Friday night at the reunion to play in the tourney!

Sunday July 15th, 2012

We have the covered picnic table area reserved from 11 AM-4PM at Clemmons Park, located at 16th & Garden City Rd.  This will be a potluck family picnic, bring a covered dish, and your choice of beverages. We will supply chicken, plates and plasticwear.  There are sand volleyball courts,  and a nice playground area for the kids,(or grandkids).  Anyone that's interested, there will be a volleyball available for a friendly game or two!

Throughout the weekend there are MANY other activities all over town, JC Fremont Days offers a great car & bike show downtown on Saturday, hot air balloon glow, SPAM cook-off, our own Lynn Albright won the cook-off in 2011!  Also a rodeo at Christensen Field, May Museum is open, kids tractor pull, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, sand volleyball tournament, 5-mile and 2.5 mile fun runs, pancake feed, Fremont-Elkhorn Valley railroad rides, parade on Sunday, and so much more!  So make sure to check out the JCF website, johncfremontdays.com and watch for the 2012 festival schedule!

We have a block of rooms reserved at Holiday Inn Express located at 2415 N Lincoln, just off of 23rd Ave & Lincoln St.  Just let them know that you are with the Fremont High Class of 1982 reunion, the rate for each night is $124.95 plus tax.  The hotel number is 402-753-3850. However,  I have found great rates on hotels.com for many hotels in Fremont, and a better rate for the Holiday Inn Express than our block rate, so check online for good deals, and make reservations early, the rates will go up as we get closer to July, and with JC Fremont Days that weekend, the hotels will sell out!

The Friday night ticket price is $35.00 per person.  Ticket price for the Golf Tourney on Saturday is $25.00, this includes 9-holes, 1/2 a cart and lunch.  You can pay Friday night at the door if you make a last minute decision to attend!

We are still looking for your old pictures from high school for the slide show on Friday night, please email these to Kelly Thompson, her email is kaleen@hotmail.com, thank you!!
